MUSIC SCHOOL AND SPECIAL VISIT FROM BOSTON AREA DIRECTOR OF YAMAHA

BALLANTYNE,NC-January31,2015-BallantyneSchoolofMusic(BSOM) isveryexcitedtoannouncethe honor of being selected by Yamaha Music Education Systems (YMES) of Buena Park, CA as an Authorized Yamaha Music School. BSOM is the first independent music school in the Carolinas to roll out Yamaha’s highly respected programming. Starting February 3rd, BSOM will launch an array of Yamaha's renowned group music classes for children ages 4 to 7. Classes will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with additional classes to be made available upon demand.
YMES is a highly respected instructional methodology that targets specific developmental needs of learners at various ages and inspires a love of music and a lifetime of active music participation. Students learn to hear, play, read, and appreciate the language of music. As they advance, they study performance, improvisation, and composition. Over the past 50 years, more than 6 million students in over 40 countries worldwide have studied the Yamaha method. It is one of the highest respected music education programs in the world.
BSOM invited the public to preview Yamaha classes during their open house event held on Saturday, Jan 31st (at Ballantyne School of Music, 11318 North Community House Rd - Suite 302 & 303) where more than 25 Ballantyne families congregated to the fleet of Yamaha pianos and enthusiastic Instructor Michael Lazenby. BSOM was joined by visiting Yamaha Director, Heather Luhn of The Real School of Music, a Boston-based authorized YMES school assisting BSOM with the launch. Heather hosted a parent Q&A session and it was an exciting opportunity for families to learn about the Yamaha Music Education programs from a true expert.
